This February brings us the third StrathHACK event! Again we have the privilage of hosting in the Architecture Building within the University of Strathclyde, right in the heart of Glasgow City Centre.
Over a 24 hour period, expect to work on some unique projects, meet plenty of new people, and perhaps even learn a thing or two along the way. Our industry sponsors will be in attendance offering cool gadgets to develop with, challenges, and prizes for their chosen winning teams!
Students are welcome from all across the UK (and beyond!), regardless of skill level, the aim here is to create something amazing and learn something interesting.

StrathHACK is being held in the Architecture Building at The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
This is easily accessible by train, with Glasgow Central Station and Glasgow Queen Street both within short walking distance. By Coach or bus Buchanan Street Bus Station is just around the corner too. For those driving, there is an NCP car park near the bottom of the hill which we have arranged a special discount with (please contact us for more details), however parking is scarce in Glasgow with high prices and strict wardens so plan ahead in that case.

Hosted by StrathTech
This event is hosted by StrathTech, created in the wake of GeekSoc, and is a new name for the long running IT Society at Strathclyde University.
We strive to promote good programming skills, hardware and networking knowledge, in the name of fun, and education! We aim to facilitate, and enhance learning of Computer Science based skills whilst promoting good security practices and coding techniques to complement student's coursework.
In partnership with MLH
Major League Hacking (MLH) is the official student hackathon league. Each semester, more than 50,000+ developers, designers, and makers compete for their school's glory at the 150+ official MLH hackathons in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
MLH Hackathons are weekend long programming competitions where student hackers get together to show off their technical skills. Students from hundreds of universities team up to build things like websites, applications, hardware hacks, and at the end of the weekend they show them off to the world.
As such we aim to abide by the MLH code of conduct

Also, feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks, change of clothes, headphones, mice, sleeping bags. We'll be providing food, but you might have your own favourites! That's okay!
No pets, drugs, weapons or illegal things will be allowed though.
How many team members can I have?
Teams can be a maximum of 5 people to ensure we can give prizes to everyone on the winning teams! Teams will be allocated when you arrive, so if you have too many/few people we can sort that out at the time.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Registrations are non-transferrable. Due to the safe nature of the event, and building control requirements, we need to know who is attending the event. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please contact us by any of the means listed above so we can free a space for another person. Thanks!
